We're a safe haven for Curly Hair!
Curls Only was born from a desire to assist curly girls in uncomplicated ways.
We’re a small business that aims to bring curl education and selected products from trusted sources to curly girls in Australia & New Zealand, based on the Curly Girl Method.
We offer local curl care sessions to curly girls in Sydney and will start offering other Curl-centered services in 2021.
All the products that we offer in our shop have been tested and approved beforehand. We believe that curly hair is not a trend and we apply the same concept to our choice of products: we don't just stock any product for its own sake.
Before choosing a product, we analyse its ingredients.
If no red flags come up in terms of possible buildup, we order a sample.
We try product samples during sessions and watch how they perform over some period of time: the proof of products is always in the practical world.
If we approve it, we order a batch. If not, we don't.
This is our process and it's fairly simple.
We value usability and performance. We also get to know the product properly before making any decisions. We don't follow trends and we don't go by popular demand alone. We also don't use guess work to judge how products perform.
Curls Only was founded by Lindsay Wilson.
Lindsay is the founder of Curly Girls Australia and New Zealand, which is the largest online platform in the country for curly hair.
She's currently attending Hair School and is a member of Loraine Massey's CurlyWorld team.
She offers curl care sessions to curly girls located in Sydney, and Curls Only's product choices come from her own curl shelf. These are reliable products that she uses and recommends during her sessions.
All of our products are based on the original version of The Curly Girl Method by Lorraine Massey. They are free of any kind of Silicone, Sulphate, Wax, Drying Alcohol or Artificial Oil.
We are based in Southwest Sydney, Australia.
Our working hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm.
As part of understanding our social responsibility to make the world a better place for Girls and Women, we use part of our profit to support Collective Shout on a monthly basis. We're against the objectification of women and sexualisation of girls in media, advertising and popular culture. This cause is very close to our hearts.
